SVK Temple devotees offering
to our beloved “ His Holiness Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji ” on occasion of his “ Shashti Poorthi ” celebration.

With blessings Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Sri Puttige Mutt we are indeed blessed to have Lord Sri Venkateshwara Temple in Phoenix over the last two decades.
What began as a small temple in a home in Chandler suburbs in early 2000 has now grown into a sprawling Temple complex in Tempe with the guidance and tireless efforts of Sri Swamiji. As a result, our temple is the one the preferred places where the entire community comes for the performance of all kind of Poojas, Homams, Samskaras, etc. for the celebrations of festivals like Dasara, Deepavali and for cultural activities
Sri Swamiji will be visiting Phoenix between October 27 through the October 30th. As most of you are aware Sri Swamiji has completed 60 years too. In our religious tradition, we offer a special celebration, Guru Vandana to thank our Guru for all their support and well wishes. We are planning a Guru Vandana celebration on Saturday October 30th, 2021 at 10:00 am in part to thank Sri Swamiji for providing a place to fulfill our religious needs.
One activity that is very close to Sri Swamij's heart is the education of your and the training of the next generation of Rithviks. He has established Vedic Schools in India to prepare next generation Rithviks and adopted schools for underprivileged children. These centers provide them with required training in both religious texts as also regular schooling.  They also get a place to stay, free food and high quality education.
As a part of the Guru Vandana, celebrations, we would like to show our appreciation by collecting donations to support Sri Swamiji's educational efforts, in preparing the next batch of Rithviks and leaders. We are requesting your strong support and generosity so that we can provide Sir Swamiji with funds that will be used for these educational activities and to ensure these schools grow and prosper. As community, this is a small way of doing our best to support both the continuation of Sanatana Dharma, and the furtherance of education in India.
Looking forward to your participation and contribution in the success of this program. We request you all to participate in this event in large numbers and get his blessings.

Face Masks are Mandatory in the Temple

Namaste Devotees

We have opened up the temple on a limited basis but are cognizant of the fact that Arizona is a hot spot for COVID-19. Hence we need to continue to take precautions and will continue the current arrangement for a little while more. We had mandated that all visitors to the temple should wear face face masks and most visitors abide by these rules. Unfortunately some don't.

The City of Tempe has mandated the use of masks in public. Given that the temple is open to public, visitors to the temple are required to wear masks. We request you to wear a mask. If not, you might be asked to leave, please do not make it difficult for the temple staff.  This simple activity will go a long way in containing the virus and getting the temple back to normal.  Again, please visit the temple only if you feel comfortable in doing so. Thank you.

Humble Request

Please Help Your Temple

We hope you all are staying safe and following the CDC guidelines in these challenging times. As you are aware, in interest of the safety of our devotees, we made a decision to close the Temple to the public due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19).

The unintended consequence of this decision is that our revenues have taken a massive hit. Over 85% of our revenue comes from services in the temple or Poojas at home and this source has dried up. Similarly, donations from devotees visiting the temple has also stopped. We are now in a tremendous cash crunch and need to meet our mortgage expenses, utility bills etc. We need your generous donation like never before. Please also forward this to your friends who may not be on our mailing list as we need every bit of help we can get.  Every dollar counts.  And your donations are tax deductible.

You can make your donations online : CLICK HERE

or please send checks payable to "SRCF", Address - 615 S Beck Ave, Tempe AZ - 85281

Please help us.
